:: blue lips ::

We used to play with marbles a lot as kids.
Nowadays there are so many kind of toys that it almost hard to pick a present if you have children’s birthday party. Especially when you try to get something without batteries or buttons. But I found my own solution in making something by myself. My criteria are that toys should live long and are washable.
So I made another marble bag, because
a} Children like to get them
b} I like to make them 🙂
Few years ago I made my very first one for a four year old boy. He still thinks it’s cool!
This purple one is for a girl. Think she will like it?

When I was sewing the lips – that sounds awkward – I had to think of a song of Regina Spektor, blue lips.
Although of course the fish lips are not actual blue, more purple.

:: spring arrived! ::

Spring arrived today!

Remember? Fresh green leaves, blossom, the sound of singing birds and active lawn mowers. It seems so far away, but it’s all around the corner. Just be patient and see! I even don’t care that it is raining today because the better days are on their way, for sure. IMG_8131-001

To celebrate spring, I created a pincushion. No, joking now.

Actually I needed  a pincushion because all my pins and needles seem to get lost and I collected some really scrappy scraps which I turned into this pincushion. I like to make small projects like these, because they actually are somewhat functional. That’s why I never ever throw away small pieces of fabric, ever!

Enjoy your very first spring weekend of the year!
